Surgical support
Advanced orthopaedic surgery
Orthopaedic surgical support
within your practice
Expert orthopaedic surgical support for veterinary practices across North East England – from frequently performed procedures to complex reconstruction and selected advanced cases.
Maciej has more than 15 years in clinical practice, including many years working in UK referral hospitals. His surgical caseload includes more than 3,000 TPLO procedures, over 350 total hip replacements, complex fracture reconstruction, corrective osteotomy, arthrodesis and advanced arthroscopy.
The aim is straightforward: to bring appropriate orthopaedic surgery into a well-equipped practice while working alongside the veterinary and nursing team already responsible for the patient.

Planning
Surgical support starts
before the operation
Case selection, imaging, surgical approach, implant requirements and practical theatre considerations can all be reviewed before the day of surgery.
Maciej has extensive experience assessing CT and MRI studies and is confident working with fluoroscopy when required. Where advanced imaging or additional referral-hospital resources are necessary, this can be identified before surgery is arranged.
Imaging review
Radiographs and available advanced imaging can be reviewed before planning the procedure.
Case selection
The patient, procedure and practice facilities are considered together.
Equipment & implants
Requirements can be agreed in advance so the theatre is ready for the planned procedure.
Peripatetic surgery is not intended to replace referral hospitals.
Some patients are better managed in a multidisciplinary referral environment, particularly where advanced imaging, intensive care, multiple specialist disciplines or other hospital-level resources are likely to be required.
If a case is unlikely to be suitable for surgery within the practice, this will be discussed before arrangements are made.
How it works
A straightforward process
Discuss the case
Send the clinical history and available imaging.
Plan together
The surgical plan, implant requirements, practical arrangements and fixed price are agreed in advance, so the practice and owner know what to expect before surgery is booked.
Surgery at your practice
Maciej attends with the required surgical equipment and works alongside your veterinary and nursing team.
Post-operative support
Clear communication and advice remain available following the procedure.
Work together
Your practice. Your patient. Your team.
Not sure whether a case is suitable for on-site surgical support? Send the history and available imaging and discuss the options before making arrangements with the owner.
